Currently Reading…

I’ll be honest with you – I don’t have a review for today. Suddenly moving last month really threw off my schedule, so while I am in the process of reading and watching some stories I’ve been wanting to write reviews on, I have to play a bit of catch up. But just so that you’re not completely disappointed, here’s a sneak peek of some of the reviews coming up in the following weeks:

  • Agnes Grey by Anne Brontë (Under-appreciated Classics series)
  • Hook and why it’s not as bad as people say
  • Elantris, why I’m glad it’s not the first Sanderson book I read, and my thoughts on the Cosmere reading order

But I’m currently reading many more books than those in the list above. I don’t write reviews for most of the books I read because 1) I don’t want to write book reviews every single day for every single blog post and 2) I like to read simply for enjoyment! Writing reviews is fun, but doing it too often becomes a chore.

So here are the books I’m currently reading for fun. You probably won’t see reviews on them, but at the moment, I can recommend them all!

  • The Crucified Life by A.W. Tozer
  • Published. by Chandler Bolt
  • The Beast of Talesend by Kyle Robert Shultz
  • The Emperor’s Soul by Brandon Sanderson (which I actually already finished, so can confirm it’s incredible and 100% worth reading even if you’re not familiar with the Cosmere)

What are you reading/have read recently? Anything you’d recommend? Let me know in the comments

Happy reading!

When you write as much as I do, you have to take frequent breaks from sitting. A standing desk (not a whole desk, but a mini desk that will sit on top of my current desk with my laptop, keyboard, and mouse and extend upward) will allow me to continue working while maintaining that good blood flow to my brain. Thank you so much for your support that allows me to keep producing free content. God bless you! ♥️ E.J.
