Procrastination Binging, Anyone? How Learning to SWAT Helped Me — Pedagogical Thoughts
Sit, Write, and Think. SWAT.
It sounds a little backward at first. This post showed me that it’s not only a great process to help get past writer’s block (or a “procrastination binge”), but it’s something I’ve done before without even knowing it. Now that I can put a name to it and know how to do it rather than just stumbling into the practice occasionally, I’ve been able to use it to gain inspiration whenever I feel like I’m hitting a wall.
Kathe has written down some great thoughts on procrastination and writing as well as how to get out of that destructive cycle. I hope you’ll give this post a quick read and try the SWAT method for yourself. It really works!
