I don’t know about you, but I love collaborative projects. It’s so fun to work with other creatives and meld your ideas! Two heads are better than one, right?
I was fortunate enough to come across an awesome writing opportunity on a great blog yesterday. If you haven’t checked out Andrea’s blog, then you should, because it will brighten your day, I promise you! She creates the cutest and funniest little drawings that are sure to make you smile.
Coming off the success of Creative Gems Vol. 1, a collaborative collection of children’s stories, Andrea recently announced that she’s doing a Volume 2! The best part is that anyone can join – any age, any skill level.
If you’ve never written for kids before, I can tell you firsthand that it’s a lot more fun than it sounds. You get to let your imagination truly run wild in a way it can’t when writing for older audiences. On the work side of my writing, I’ve been penning children’s stories of all kinds for about a year now and it’s been a blast!
One of my favourite things about this project is that each story is based off of a piece of Andrea’s artwork, and trust me, you won’t have a hard time getting inspiration from these gems. One of her drawings instantly stood out to me and I’ve already claimed it for my story in Creative Gems Vol. 2!
If you’re interested, check out Andrea’s post here for the brief info! Make sure to pick one of her images ahead of time so you don’t accidentally choose the same one as someone else. And the story isn’t due until November 30th, so you’ve got plenty of time to craft your little tale! This is a great way to do something fun with other creatives while still getting your name and story out there.
So what are you waiting for? Join the party!

Why do I ask for donations? This money all goes towards helping me pay for marketing, book services (editing, cover art, etc.), learning opportunities, and writing-related subscriptions that I have to purchase myself due to being an indie author and a blogger who posts tons of resources and stories for free. Every dollar counts! Thank you so much, and God bless you. ♥️ E.J.Donate
