Happy New Year, Happy New Blog!

Well, it’s the start of a new year, and I’m determined to do a better job at posting regularly on my blog. After becoming a full-time freelance writer halfway through last year, I now have a better idea of how to create my schedule for this year. I’ve put a lot of thought into how to balance my writing work, my blog, and my work on Project P which I’m aiming to publish this year. So, without further ado, here’s what you can expect from my blog coming up!

More stories! The goal is to publish an original story here at least once a week. The length will vary, but generally they will be short stories varying in a few hundred words to a few thousand words in length.

More novel updates! As I move onto the second draft of Project P, I want to post updates on where I am, the things I’m struggling with, the things I’ve accomplished, etc. Maybe you all will have some insight and comments for me, and maybe I can share some helpful information as I’m going through this process!

More reviews! From books to audios to shows to products, I’m going to be writing lots more reviews. The purpose is to point out what we can learn about writing from books, TV, movies, audio, etc. and to introduce you to certain products, apps, or services that have helped me to be a better writer.

More insight into my career! I get lots of questions about what it’s like to be a freelance writer. A little over a year ago, I didn’t even know that this job existed! I want to share what it’s like to be a freelance writer and how I got started in the hopes that more people will become aware of the fun, difficult, and amazing experience of being a freelancer.

…and much more! With all the things I love to do, you might hear me talk about baking sometimes, or perhaps my new interest in bookbinding. Honestly, who knows! I’m looking forward to what this year is going to bring, and I hope you are too.
