Now that Writeober has ended and I’ve had a little break, I’m back with Monday Positivity this week! Today I’m going to share something that certainly cheered me up yesterday (and may have captivated over an hour of my time as I went on a YouTube binge…it happens).
We’ve probably all heard of characters at the Disney parks who have gone viral. It all started with Spieling Peter Pan, then there was Gaston (who I actually had the pleasure (?) of meeting; I hugged him and he picked me up off the ground!), and now the newest sensation is the Evil Queen.
I wasn’t sure what to think when I saw the video in my recommended feed because I was never a big fan of Snow White; I was always more into the Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and Aladdin era. And the Evil Queen, while a classic villain, was never too exciting to me.
That changed when I started watching these videos.
To say that they’re entertaining is an understatement. The Evil Queen is downright hilarious, and yes, even relatable sometimes. From telling the “peasants” to get out of the way as she’s walking, to demanding people give her compliments, not to mention her obsession with apples and mirrors, nearly anything that comes out of her mouth is sure to make you smile. It’s also wonderful to see the way she softens—only a bit, mind you—when she talks to children.
There are plenty of videos about “the Evil Queen of Disneyland” all over YouTube, but here’s just a short one to get you started—and then have fun going on a YouTube binge like I did!
Have a wonderful Monday!
