The road ever before me
The taken path far behind
The sunset makes the pavement gleam
And cool air buffets my skin
Maybe some moments are perfect
Maybe some just fall short
But I think as I gaze and I wonder
About the God of the Universe
Did He make this flawless moment?
Ages and ages ago?
Did he craft this very tree I pass,
Knowing it would touch me so?
The sky becomes painted with rainbows
And the moon’s hidden face appears bright
And I smile as I think and I wonder,
A thanks to the God by my side
I think that some moments are perfect—
Just one way to show us we are loved
